Common questions

Does Humant require PostgreSQL?

PostgreSQL is default and recommended. The launcher can switch to MySQL or SQLite for zero-configuration local development.

What Java version is required?

Java 11 is required by the Spring Boot 2.5 backend. The Maven wrapper handles Maven automatically — no global Maven install needed.

Can I deploy to a cloud server?

Yes. The deployment generator exports a complete folder with Angular bundle, Spring Boot JAR and Nginx config for Ubuntu VPS, AWS EC2, Render or Railway.

Is Stripe required to run the app?

No. Stripe keys default to placeholder values. All HR modules work independently. Stripe is only needed for tenant subscription checkout.
